The Bach Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, is basically the basis for the piece known as "Ave Maria: Bach/Gounod", which is the one that I perform on the ukulele.
The melody is created out of cascading arpeggios, originally written for keyboard, but fits ever so elegantly on the tiny ukulele.
Sound clips and samples upon request.
